HTC could develop its own OS

by admin on Apr.15, 2010, under Articles

According to Hui-ming Cheng (CFO of  HTC), the Taiwanese company is thinking of providing its own mobile OS. Already using 2 OS (Android and Windowsphone), this strategy could allow the manufacturer to increase its revenue but require big investment.
This announcement may also be just a tactic in the early negotiations for the purchase of Palm!

Nexus One is out!

by Damien Puybonnieux on Jan.05, 2010, under Articles

Today is the official release of highly anticipated smartphone created by the very wellknown company used by millions of people around the world: I am of course talking about Google! Nexus One is manufactured by HTC so there are many similarities with the latest phones released it. As such an AMOLED 3.7 ” screen (“probably the best screen we’ve seen on a smartphone so far” said Jason Chen, a tester at Gizmodo) with a higher contrast of colors and deeper blacks. Its 1GHz processor and 512 MB RAM  should make it very responsive despite the size of its screen. This smartphone runs on the latest version of Androïd and promises some exciting new innovations such as the ability to interact fingertip with animated video backgrounds, voice recognition … for the “seizure” of the voice mail. Google does not hesitate to speak even a “voice keyboard”.
We look forward to test it in France!

New version of Windows Mobile 6.5 coming soon!

by Damien Puybonnieux on Nov.30, 2009, under Articles

Windows Mobile 6.5 aims to compete with iPhone or Android, but despite some interesting features, this release is ultimately made to make us wait for the arrival of Windows Mobile 7 (no date provided for the moment). So until Windows 7, Microsoft makes us patient with the upcoming release of a new interface for this 6.5 version.
XDA-Developers and ppcgeeks developers forums (references in the mobile world) have got hold of this new 6.5.1version. With these screenshots we can discover the new possible interface, but nothing is final. One of the major improvements is an interface adapted to a completely finger navigation without using a stylus!
Questioned on that point, Microsoft confims its desire to propose a system tailored to the latest capacitive phones. Some changes will therefore be made for Touch Flo of HTC for example to paste the new features / modifications.
We are very impatient to see that version for real!
