Rugged phones are intended for mobile professionals operating in difficult or extreme conditions. The new device from Psion, Workabout Pro 3, meets this definition, runs on Windows Mobile 6 and its main innovation is its modularity.
“It has been designed to integrate extensions and add-ons that users need, at time T, but also in the future. The number of possible combinations, physical and software, is several thousands” says manufacturer.

Texas Instrument présentait sur son stand du Mobile World Congress 2010 un gadget très interessant pour les personnes nomades : un smartphone (Samsung) équipé d’un picto projecteur permettant de projetter film ou encore présentation Power Point ! La qualité est plutôt bonne et dans un contexte de salle de réunion le résultat est probant. Grâce au pico projecteur 10 lumens 480×320 pixels, les images diffusées sur un écran peuvent atteindre jusqu’à 50 pouces. Voir la vidéo.
